Their Second Chance

These stories represent the human-animal bond preserved, thanks to community support and timely veterinary intervention.

Gus Gus's Recovery

A 14‑week‑old stray orange kitten named Gus Gus went to Weathered Rock Vet Clinic after being hit by a car. He had a broken leg in two places and a diaphragmatic hernia. Despite everything he had been through, a kind family stepped up and chose to take on his care. He underwent two major surgeries — one to repair his leg and another to fix his torn diaphragm. He was a very unstable patient, but this little fighter pulled through!

We’re thrilled to share that at his recent recheck, Gus Gus is thriving, gaining weight, and absolutely loving his new home. He’s a tough, lucky boy with a huge heart!
